O-N-E...

My babies are officially ONE YEAR OLD!  Actually, they are now just a few days away from being 13 months.  They prove to me in new ways everyday just how big they are and how much they want to grow and conquer new things.  Liam is ready to take off and walk at any time.  I'm doing my best to try to capture this and many other major moments on camera if possible.  But honestly, I'm so content to just sit back and soak it all in... I find myself just sitting on the floor with them and smiling as they play.  I don't want to rush any of this.

The babies' birthday was everything I'd hoped for!  It was laid back and really just all about them.  And it was about Noah... Helping them open presents, singing to them, reading to them, playing with their new toys when he thought we weren't looking, helping to decorate their cakes, and loving that he's the BEST big brother the world has ever known.

The waiting presents and decorating the house...
Noah read the Babes a story while they enjoyed a birthday breakfast of Cheerios and yogurt.
"Why is everybody smiling and taking our pictures today?  What's going on????"
Opening the gifts!!!  Noah was there to help them figure it all out.

Playing with all the new goods...
After a nice long nap, the birthday babies got dressed and continued to play right where they'd left off.  Then it was time to party!

Proud Big Brother...
Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaake.....  The babies each had their own little cake of course, and we just did matching cupcakes.  'Course we had to choose if we were on "Team Liam" or "Team Xio." :)

 Big Kids :)

Daddy introducing Liam to the fine art of candle-lighting.

Liam did NOT disappoint when it came to demolishing his cake... It ended up on the floor. :)

Miss Dainty... One little finger full of frosting at a time!  Until Daddy shoved both of her hands in at once.  She was shocked at first, but then thought it was pretty good stuff.

SOOOOO glad that Grandpa and Gram could be here to help us celebrate!
 Xio and Gram...
 Liam and Grandpa...
Can't wait to see what the munchkins will do tomorrow.  In the meantime, I'm going to try to take advantage of the extra hour of sleep that we supposedly gained last night.  The children rose bright and early, but were also ready for bed by 5:00pm tonight.  Hence, the reason why this blog post is happening. :)

Be good, K?

Love,
One Proud Momma

The Force is strong with these 3...

We couldn't resist, Okay?  Noah was already set on being Anakin Skywalker this Halloween.  And we have twins... a boy and a girl.  Hmmmm..... what could they be?  Oh, what could they be?  I was so excited to have a Star Wars family Halloween!  I even ordered a Yoda costume for Miss Abbie, but alas it didn't fit her so we sent it back and gave Abbie the year off.  I think she's eternally grateful. :)

Our Halloween started with a Trunk Or Treat at our church, followed by a chilly night of trick or treating.  Noah ran as fast as he could from house to house with his pack of friends, and the adults and babies did our best to follow, direct traffic, greet other parents as we passed each other on narrow sidewalks, and pick up after Abbie (she got to tag along for the night).  As Master Yoda would say, A good time it was.

The force is strong with these 3.... Heaven help us. :)

At the Trunk Or Treat... The Princess kept taking off her super awesome hair.  She'd had enough already.

Costume documentation pictures.... Just for Mommy's sake.

Isn't this the BEST "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi... You're my only hope." pose EVER????

The Skywalkers reunited...

I love that the Babes are actually looking at each other in this picture.  I can just hear it now.

Liam:   Nice buns, Xio.
Xio:     Shut up...

And here's Dude as Anakin Skywalker, about to turn Sith Lord awesome Jedi...

I am SOOOOOOOO tired today.  Kudos to my parents for all the amazing Halloweens that we had growing up.  I don't know how you did it year after year.  And I totally understand if you want to confess that you pilfered some of our candy when we weren't looking... You deserved it.  At least that's what I'll tell Noah in about 20 years!

Love,
Jedi Momma
