".....To Infinity and Beyond!!!"

My little boy is absolutely OBSESSED with Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody. So when we heard that Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were being shown as a double feature... AND in 3D... we knew that we had to take him. How CUTE is he in his glasses???

We kept our expectations low, just in case. But he made it through the entire first movie, the 10 minute intermission, and then at least half-way through the second movie!

Then it was about that time of day when there can be a meltdown that brings everything to a standstill and throws the option of dessert right out the window! (This, of course, just makes the tantrum even worse...) I don't really know what set him off, but all of a sudden we found ourselves grabbing coats and 3D glasses and running for the theater doors before Noah could catch his breath and actually scream! Then, all the way out of the movie theater doors, down the street, through the parking structure, and about halfway home he cried and screamed, "Turn around! Turn around! Watch Buzz! Watch Buzz! Nooooooooo! Turn around! AAAAaaaaaaagh!......" You get the idea.

Despite how we exited, Kevin and I deemed our first trip to the movie theater with our little boy (since he was about 5 months old) a great success and we're so glad that we took him. I will remember the tantrum of course. But I will NEVER forget how adorable he was, sitting on his own movie theater seat with his legs kind of at a 45 degree angle because they didn't weigh enough to bring the seat all the way down. His feet just barely hanging over the edge with the tips of his favorite shoes pointing toward each other. 3D glasses overwhelming his perfect little nose. Kiddy movie meal complete with popcorn and bev sitting across his lap. And he's munching away while watching Buzz and Woody... My heart took a picture. :)

Hey Howdy Hey,

My heart took a mental picture as you have related the experience...and I know how much Buzz and Woody mean to that little boy!! And...by the way...I think he is the cutest little boy I have ever seen in 3D glasses. What a fun movie going, memorable, family experience!!

What a cute picture of Noah sitting there with his 3D glasses and "paraplegic Woody" and hat! That made us laugh out loud. (Not because Woody is missing some limbs, that wouldn't be PC, but because he was so proud to have Woody with him.) Mom and Dad looked pretty great in their 3D specs, too.

So fun! Those little ones are so adorable and cute. (And their tantrums can be pretty amazing too.) I love your pictures--it looks like an overall good time. :) What fun parents you are!

What a cute story, tantrum and all!
My mom and I took Nathan to see that while grandpa had some Laila time. Nathan must have thought it was a free for all b/c when the second one ended he said, "what movie do we get to watch now?".....can't wait for #3!

btw- Nathan had such a hard time getting his giant 3D glasses to stay on his head-you'd think they could make some child sized ones since it was for a child's movie!

Did you save your glasses? We kept ours so we could use them with our 3D Polar Express movie at home!

What a great memory for your little family! Noah is such a sweetheart. I don't think we will make it back for Christmas, my family will all be out to Utah this year. Maybe in the spring? Happy Halloween!
